Our early season competition took place on the May Bank Holiday weekend at our usual venue, Black Fox Archery near Swindon. We went for the usual format, an HBAE competition with Raid Tower and Hunt track alongside a walk competition for our newer riders and horses
The Arena 30 walk and Raid 234 competitions took place on the Saturday, overseen by head judge John. Then on Sunday morning we had a collaborative effort to set up a hunt track, with competitors helping to decide where to place targets, and coming up with some tricky shots such as Newton’s Apple suspended from a tree!
Well done to Oli who managed to shoot the apple, there were some great scores on the hunt track and Nick got to ride it again after the competition so we could get the drone up and admire Michael’s mowing skills!
On Monday we finished with the Tower competition and Nick was crowned HBAE winner, with Ros taking the iHBA prize. Well done to all our competitiors and huge thanks to all our judges and helpers, full results below.
